Person Walther Ziegler

Walther Ziegler est professeur d'université et docteur en philosophie. En tant que correspondant à l'étranger, reporter et directeur de l'information de la chaîne de télévision allemande ProSieben, il a produit des films sur tous les continents. Ses reportages ont été récompensés par plusieurs prix. En 2007, il prit la direction de la „ Medienakademie “ à Munich, une Université des Sciences Appliquées et y forme depuis des cinéastes et des journalistes. Il est l'auteur de nombreux ouvrages philosophiques, qui ont été publiés en plusieurs langues dans le monde entier. Dans sa qualité de journaliste de longue date, il parvient à résumer la pensée complexe des grands philosophes de manière passionnante et accessible à tous.

Dr. Walther Ziegler ist promovierter Philosoph und Hochschuldozent. Als Auslandskorrespondent, Reporter und Nachrichtenchef des Fernsehsenders ProSieben produzierte er Filme auf allen Kontinenten. Seine Reportagen wurden mehrfach preisgekrönt. Von 2007 bis 2016 bildete er in München junge TV-Journalistinnen und Journalisten aus und leitete eine University of Applied Sciences für Film- und Fernsehstudiengänge. Er ist zugleich Autor zahlreicher philosophischer Bücher. Als langjährigem Journalisten und Wissenschaftler gelingt es ihm, den Zeitgeist ganzer Epochen spannend und anschaulich auf den Punkt zu bringen.

Dr Walther Ziegler is academically trained in the fields of philosophy, history and political science. As a foreign correspondent, reporter and newsroom coordinator for the German TV station ProSieben he has produced films on every continent. His news reports have won several prizes and awards. He has also authored numerous books in the field of philosophy. His many years of experience as a journalist mean that he is able to present the complex ideas of the great philosophers in a way that is both engaging and very clear. Since 2007 he has also been active as a teacher and trainer of young TV journalists in Munich, holding the post of Academic Director at the Media Academy, a University of Applied Sciences that offers film and TV courses at its base directly on the site of the major European film production company Bavaria Film. After the huge success of the book series „Great thinkers in 60 Minutes“, he works as a freelance writer and philosopher.
