This is the first digital film that documents the first south-north crossing through Africa on motorcycles from Cape Town to Cairo in 1935 and the preparation tour to the North Cape in 1934. The DVD is based on two films made by Josef Boehmer which give an insight into motorcycle travels of that time. Not only the hard rides on difficult dirt roads and the many adventurous situations are shown, but also the strength and commitment of the team. This team spirit was more important than the capacity of the motorcycles to cope with this extreme tour.
The films were re-edited and comments by a speaker were added.
