The 21st Meeting of the Working Group on Prolamin Analysis and Toxicity (PWG) took place at Schär R& D Centre, AREA Science Park, Trieste, Italy, from 28 to 30 Septem ber, 2006. Clinical accounts and further reports fo cused on the CCNFSDU new standard for gluten-free food.
I am most indebted to all participants for their active contribution, in particular to Ms Jacqueline Pante, Dr. Virna Cerne and Mr Ulrich Ladurner for their hospitality and efficient organisation of the meeting, and for providing the basis for lively and fruitful discussions. I express my gratitude towards all friends, colleagues and sponsors for their inspiration and support.
